Investigation Report

Location Status:
Active four story hotel and restaurant converted from a prior morgue and hardware store that was built in the 1800's.

Reported Activity:
The owners have been at this location for about two years and since buying the property, they have had unexplained electrical problems, lights going off an on by themselves, sightings by the staff of apparitions and bodiless heads and EVP recordings obtained from an initial paranormal investigation from a local team.

EMF (Electro-Magnetic Field):
Standard baseline readings were taken throughout the home with expected spikes near electrical appliances. Very high levels were discovered in the basement coming from electrical wiring that run the length of the basement ceiling.

Nicole/Stan: While touring the basement, main section during setup, Nicole and Stan observed a small shadow walk across the doorway of the first basement room. No source could be found.

When Virginia first arrived at the Morguen Toole Company, she picked up a very strong female spirit named “Helen”. This female spirit was everywhere in the building and was not shy when it came to showing herself. Virginia felt that Helen loved greeting guests, making sure their meals were just right and that their room was cozy if patrons stayed there for the night.

As Virginia conducted her initial walk through she gathered the following information:

Back entrance - lower level: Virginia felt the spirit of a priest walking from room to room and picked up the name “Father Miller”.

Main Dining Room - first floor: As Virginia continued her walk through in the main dining room, she picked up a male spirit who seemed to be in charge and wanted to get the message across that he was very proud of his business as well as his son. The name of the spirit that Virginia picked up on was “Reinhardt Reich” and he was speaking about his son Joseph.

Throughout the building, Virginia kept feeling the spirit of a little boy named “Freddie” who was about 7 to 9 years old and connected to Reich family.

Basement: In the basement, which was previously a part of the morgue, Virginia picked up two male spirits. One, named “Daniel”, told Virginia that he was hit by a train and was there looking for his horse. The second male, named “Lawrence”, told Virginia that he died from a heart problem and worked for the railroad. Virginia felt an abundance of residual spiritual energy in the basement from infants to adults. As Virginia continued walking through the basement, she also picked up American Indian spirits that would walk through the basement like there was not even a building present there.

Fourth Floor (under reconstruction): Virginia felt the presence of three male spirits. Virginia believed they were moving items to the back of this space and this could be heard all night long from the floor below. Virginia also picked up that one of the men was some sort of a foreman named “Walter”. Walter did not want to be disturbed and lets people know this by making them feel very uncomfortable when they are in that area. Virginia felt the other two spirits were black men that worked for Walter. Virginia only received the name for one of the workers and that was “Sam”.

Main Floor - Kitchen: Throughout the night, Virginia kept picking up two female spirits. One named “Pearl” and the second, “May” or “Mable”. They followed Virginia from the hotel room known as, “Baer Room” to the kitchen on the main floor. Virginia felt that May/Mable had been in a bad fire and was burned all over her arms and chest. As Virginia began to “tune in” while standing in the kitchen, May/Mable came closer and began to tell Virginia that she was a teacher and then later worked with her father in the building. While May/Mable was speaking, a male spirit named “Charles” came forward and began telling Virginia how there was a miscommunication and that’s why he and George could not help his family or stop the home from burning. Virginia realized that Pearl and May/Mable were Charles' daughters and George was his son. While Virginia was communicating with these spirits, another female spirit named “Felicia” showed up. Felicia kept pointing to her hip. Virginia found out from the clients that Felicia’s maiden name was Hip and she was married to Charles Bear.

Additional names Virginia picked up during the investigation that were associated with the property at one time: Thomas Shiply, an additional Thomas, Richard and Maria or Mary who had something to do with Reich. Virginia also picked up two men named Ray or Raymond, a Peck, Vincent P., Ferris, William P., Otto, Warner or Werner, Schall or Schell, Lash, Spano and the initials A & G that had something to do with rugs. Virginia also picked up the spirit of a big dog

Conclusion:
During the investigation at the Morguen Toole Company on this particular date, investigators had one shared personal experience in the basement that seemed to be consistent with other previous reports. No physical activity was documented by audio, video or other means. Although investigators found high electromagnetic fields running the length of the basement main hallway, no other reports of activity throughout the building could be ruled out as being caused by natural sources. The high EMF'S in the basement hallway could cause a person hypersensitive to these fields to get the feeling that they are not alone, or are being watched, or just a general creepy feeling in this area and this should be considered when someone reports these sensations in this area. Due to the large size of this building and the amount of experiences people have had here, further research would need to be conducted at this location over a period of time to try and collect enough information to make a reasonable determination if a haunting was taking place or not.

Metaphysically, Psychic Medium Virginia Centrillo does not believe there is anything of a dark nature in this building and people will feel the spirits that she believes are here or even catch a glimpse of the past from time to time because the spirits are still very busy carrying on their daily lives. Virginia received that the past owners appreciate what the new owners are doing to preserve the past history of the property while incorporating the future.
