Location Status:
Two story, double block home occupied by three adults, two dogs and several cats.

Reported Activity:
The client has lived at this location for over 11 years. Since moving in, she has reported seeing apparitions that seem to mimic her son, heard voices and footsteps, has had objects move by themselves and other objects seem to just disappear. The owner reported going outside one morning for just a brief second and her front door slammed shut and was locked from inside with no one present who could have locked the door. The client has also reported that her dogs and cats were reacting to whatever was in the house. The client began to use her ipad to try and record sounds in the house or to try and capture any voices to verify that her house had activity. The client has reported capturing many EVP'S on her device magnifying her fears and called in a new, local paranormal team to investigate. After the investigation, the team provided the client with dozens of voices they stated they captured during their investigation, advising the client that they could not be sure of some of them but others they confirmed as legitimate. This caused the client to panic and believe she had some type of demonic activity going on at this location and was becoming very afraid. By having an investigation, the client hopes to verify that the activity does in fact ave a paranormal cause and to cleans the home of anything that may be there.

No anomalous readings were detected.

Investigator Feelings / Personal Experiences:
Mark:
Nothing to report

Paul: Nothing to report

Virginia: Refer to Psychic Impressions

Psychic Impressions:
Upon Virginia arriving at the home, she was having problems focusing on the property and the entities that she felt were present there. Virginia described it as white noise in her field as though someone or something was trying intentionally to block any information that Virginia might pickup. As Virginia sat quietly in the dark with no outside interference, Virginia started to pickup coal miner energy throughout the home and property. Virginia also picked up on an elderly female who was hanging around what would be the dining room area of the home. This female entity was moving back and forth trying to keep warm and going to a coal stove that was no longer present in this space. It was confirmed by the homeowner that a coal stove did exist in that space. Virginia picked up a J and an L name, which according to the owner was the elderly female’s initials and that she was the previous owner of the home.

Virginia also felt during the initial walk through that there was a lot of residual energies moving though the home. Places retain energy too. Locations are just collections of objects. A house has walls, floors, stairs and other surfaces that people come in contact with all the time. In fact, much of what people perceive as a “haunting” is really not spirit presence at all, but rather an energy imprint, also called “residual energy”, that gets imprinted in the location. This imprint replays a significant event, just like a tape running on a loop over and over again. Because such events typically have intense emotional connections, they are generally connected to a person or people and might have to do with some sort of trauma or tragedy. Trauma, of course, leaves intense energy behind but not all intense energy is traumatic. Many homes are filled with energy imprints of moments of joy and laughter that marked the lives of families who lived there. Due to the fact that this home is over 100 years old, we need to take into consideration the history that has been left behind.

As Virginia continued her walk through of the home with the owner, Virginia smelled smoke or someone smoking in one of the bedrooms. The owner confirmed that her daughter would smell the same thing.

During the investigation, Virginia picked up on one particular male entity that was a coal miner and who Virginia felt, at one time, lived in the home and was an alcoholic. Virginia also picked up the initials JF, which Virginia felt belonged to this coal miner. Virginia started to receive more information on this coal miner as the investigation continued. The information came in very slowly due to the mental and emotional condition of this male entity. Virginia felt this coal miner died from the result of alcohol and/or smoking and was still in a drunken state during the time of his death which caused him to became a trapped soul and not move on properly. Virginia received impressions from this coal miner that he was a mean prankster that would mimic the people in the home by imitating their voice or appearance to try and cause confusion and frighten the owners just for fun. Virginia added that this coal miner also loved to disturb the animals in the home. As the coal miner became more comfortable with Virginia and PPA investigator, Paul, the coal miner started to reveal more information to Virginia about what happened to him with a cart in the mine he worked in that ran over his foot leaving him with half a foot. The coal miner also gave impressions to Virginia of how there was a coal mine fire not too far from the client's home and also told Virginia that his brother worked at a mill that supplied the mines with lumber and steel for the tracks.

Virginia also felt that much of the physical activity that has been reported in the home may be caused as a result of psychokinetic energy from the client's adult son who has a mental disability and also lives in the home. There is a situation called recurrent spontaneous psychokinesis. This is where a regularly reoccurring release of psychic energy, capable of moving physical objects, is released by someone that usually is unaware that he or she is doing so. The client confirmed that the physical activity does occur at times when her son would be upset by something or when there was some type of conflict in the home further pointing to this cause as a possibility.

Conclusion:
Based on the investigation from this one particular night, investigators were not able to document any evidence to support or dismiss a haunting. No personal experiences were reported by investigators. Investigators were able to identify several factors that were leading the client to believe th
auses. The client had attempted to record many of her own EVP'S after experiencing activity in the home to try and further identify if a hauntinat some of the activity was from a haunting but, in fact, had normal cg was present. The client believed she had captured many EVP'S and brought in a local paranormal team to investigate. The team, which was newly founded, presented the client with dozen's more EVP'S from their investigation and a video with a moving orb in it. The PPA was able to establish that in all cases of attempting to capture EVP'S by the client and local paranormal team, no controls were put in place and no alternate recording devices were utilized to compare various background contamination that may have misleadingly been the cause of the EVP'S they had found. The recorder the client was using was from a computer pad and not of any reasonable quality to attempt to capture EVP'S with. The client had her computer pad running during the investigation, unknowingly by the investigators, and presented another group of EVP'S that she had found during our investigation and commented that she was really freaked out by them. The PPA was able to compare the client's recordings with comparison recordings from the PPA and in every instance where the client thought she had found a valid EVP, the voice could be attributed to normal background noises and talking by investigator in the home at the time. This is a common mistake by many people. Only by using several high quality recording devices in different locations at a home or other building can authentic EVP'S be identified correctly. It has been well researched by The PPA that lower quality recording devices with a lot of hiss in the background combined with distant sounds that a recorder is barely picking up will only pick up the higher volume sounds or sometimes twist non-verbal background noise into what sounds like words and whispers. Based on our findings of how the client and local paranormal teams were recording and identifying EVP'S, we feel that all the EVP'S presented must be disregarded as misinterpretation of background contamination and the client's own perception was causing her to be “freaked out”.

The PPA was also able to identify several areas in the home where highly elevated magnetic fields were present. These high fields can cause a person near to them to have perceived paranormal experiences in those areas such as hearing voices, seeing things, feeling like someone is present with you, nausea and more. Should any future experiences be had in these areas, these fields must be looked at as one possible consideration for the cause of the experience.

The PPA was not able to rule out many other reported experiences, such as objects moving by themselves or items disappearing. Psychic Medium Virginia Centrillo gave a possible explanation for some of the events where objects move on their own as being caused by the client's son. A condition known as psychokinesis. Although considered paranormal at this time, psychokinesis is a human condition, rather than caused by a ghost or spirit and may be present when the son is upset or excited. Virginia also felt the neighborhood the client was living in was a very active location for hauntings. Virginia believes there is a lot of residual activity as well as conscious spirits present from a once very active mining town with a lot of tragedy and other highly charged emotions. Because of this and the client's openness to spirit energy from living with it so long, continued activity may be perceived by the client at this location and other locations where activity is present. Virginia provided the client with instructions on how to better understand psychic ability and how to learn to deal with those abilities. Virginia believes that she was also successful in releasing the male and female spirits that she felt were still present in the home and had never crossed over properly.
