Location:  Confidential Location - Montgomery County

Investigation Date and Duration:
June 4, 2011 6:30 PM – 1:30 AM

Location Status:
Unoccupied, three story stone house built in the 1700’s, currently being used as a storage facility.

Reported Activity:
Workers cutting grass in the yards around this building have reported seeing a young girl on multiple occasions on the upper floors, looking out the window and waving at them. The workers know this building to be secure and, when checked, no one was in the house. On separate occasions, when workers have gone into the home, they have had a very uneasy feeling. They get the feeling that they are not alone and are being watched. Through investigation by The PPA, clients hope to determine if something paranormal is occurring in this home.

Technical Notes:
- Power disconnected to entire building.

- Abnormal severe battery drain was noted on various equipment at the start of the investigation. During set up, one of the laser grids, which was placed in the center front room on the second floor, went dead within five minutes. The batteries, which had been fully charged just prior to the investigation, should have lasted approximately four hours. Once the batteries were replaced, a second laser, placed in the room just to the right of the first room, went dead approximately five minutes after the first one. The batteries in this laser also should have lasted approximately four hours. There were no further incidents with the lasers. When Paul was setting up the IR motion cameras, newly installed batteries were completely dead and the device did not work. All batteries were replaced with no further incidents. A flashlight that Paul had at the command center was also completely dead, but had been working fine prior to the investigation.

AUDIO ANALYSIS:
VR1 - Digital Voice Recorder: Stationary in living room with staircase on first floor.

VR2 - Digital Voice Recorder: Stationary in third floor end bedroom on right with wallpaper.
This device captured the sound of music or singing. The sound is faintly heard behind Lauren and Nicole speaking and during breaks in their conversation. The sound was compared against other recording equipment in the building. Lauren and Nicole were ruled out as the possible voice when a recorder carried with them also faintly picked up the singing while they were not talking. Outside contamination was also ruled out and no origin could be found.  The sound starts at about 5 seconds into the first clip and 4 seconds into the second filtered and amplified clip.  Quality headphones are required to hear the sound properly with the first clip.

Audio Clp Amplified:

VR3 - Digital Voice Recorder: Stationary in third floor end bedroom to the left.
This device recorded a similar musical sound as the first at 1108pm very similar to the singing recorded on VR2. Virginia and Kelly were present at the time but did not hear the sound. The sound did not appear on any other recorders.  The sound starts at 4 seconds into the clip.

VR4 - Digital Voice Recorder: Stationary in second floor end bedroom to the left.
This device captured the sound of three distinct knocks when Paul had asked that anyone present knock on the wall. Paul asks this three times and demonstrates each time. Paul hears the first set of knocks and the recorder captured the last two, which were not heard by Paul and Mark at the time. When comparing just the knocks, on all three occurrences, the three knocks sound the same. Additional recorders and VR4 were checked further for similar knocks throughout the recordings, but no additional knocks were found. The knocks appear to be right on cue with Paul's questions and in response to his request. Three knocks are heard each time as requested and demonstrated.  The knocks can be heard at 5 seconds, 30 seconds and 43 seconds.  A chirp sound is heard at 42 seconds but attributed to stomach noise.

Investigator Feelings / Personal Experiences:

Mark- Nothing to report.

Lauren - Nothing to report.

Paul – Nothing to report.

Nicole- Nothing to report.

Virginia- Reported a feeling of being nudged in the back while investigating inside the storage barn.

Kelly- Kelly also reported feeling like she was nudged in the back while in the same area of the barn.

Psychic Impressions:

Virginia's walk-through of the home, barn and land included mainly impressions of the past. What Virginia picked up were many names associated with the property, including Mary, Margaret, Elizabeth, Sadie, Ann or Anna and many male names, such as Edward or Edmund, Bond, William, Samuel, Francis, John, Joseph, as well as Lacey, Custer, Shoemaker, etc...

Virginia felt that there were many layers of history attached to this home and picked up that the families that lived there worked in Government, had something to do with the Army, something to do with stagecoaches, Tavern, secret meetings, some religious teaching in the home and information regarding the underground railroad.

Virginia also received that there was some tie between a tavern and another home, a home that was named "White". It was set around marshes.

As Virginia walked through the house, a male spoke with her. His name was Mr. Bond and he spoke about stagecoaches. When Virginia reached the second floor, she was approached by a female named Mary, who roamed around the first and second floors. When Virginia went up to the third floor, she felt a girl who stayed around the wallpaper room and liked to look out the window. This girl also had an M name. Virginia felt there was also a little boy who stayed on the third floor. Virginia felt physical pain in the head coming from a man and loss of a female child who never came home. In the barn, Virginia felt the presence of a horse and experienced a physical nudge from behind her back, followed with a hot snort. Virginia also felt the presence of a lost slave still there from years ago.

Conclusion:

During the investigation on this particular date, investigators started noticing unusual events immediately while setting up equipment.  Several pieces of equipment had abnormal battery drain, to the point of being non-functional.  A flashlight, two laser grids and a motion activated IR camera all went dead either prior to their use or within minutes of being turned on.  They all contained fully charged batteries.  This is common in areas where paranormal activity is reported.  Investigators also had a few personal experiences, such as Kelly and Virginia both reporting feeling like they were nudged in the back while in the barn area.  Investigators were not able to find an alternative explanation for the employees seeing a girl waving at them from upper floor windows on several occasions.  Many factors were considered and the event could not be recreated.  Investigators were able to document some unusual events, such as receiving return knocks upon demand and a female voice singing, which was captured by audio recorders, though not audible during the investigation.

From a metaphysical perspective, based on the time Virginia spent in the home, barn and on the land, she feels that there is a haunting occurring at this location, as well as an abundance of residual energy around the property.  Virginia believes that the people entering the home and grounds who are witnessing activity are picking up on this residual energy and, at times, seeing or feeling active spirits, as well.

Taking into consideration the credible witnesses to the activity, combined with the metaphysical information and the information The PPA was able to confirm through historical research, along with  documented activity as a result of the investigation, The PPA believes that there is paranormal activity occurring at this location.  Virginia believes that she was able to help release the lost slave that was still present on the property and feels that the remaining active spirits want to be there and do not need help in any way.  Virginia feels that they may come and go and are not stuck at this location.  Virginia also feels that there are high levels of residual activity present that plays over and over and is a part of the current environment.   The PPA found no signs of anything harmful at this location and feels that any activity is because of a tight connection with the home and the clients have nothing to fear.
