This is a two story residence occupied by one adult, two children and one dog.

Reported Activity:
The clients have reported weekly activity including hearing footsteps in the attic, child seeing a lady and being slapped, dog acting strangely, feelings of being watched on the first few steps going upstairs.

EMF (Electro Magnetic Field):
Standard baseline readings were taken throughout the residence with expected spikes near electrical appliances. Elevated readings received in corner of living room between two couches, which seemed to cycle throughout the evening (possibly with the heat coming on and going off) and on the landing of the stairwell (constant elevated level towards the ceiling).

Investigator Feelings / Experiences:
Lauren- Heaviness in chest in playroom. No elevated EMF fields detected.

Conclusion:
During the investigation on this particular date, investigators were not able to document any audio or video evidence of paranormal activity. No personal experiences were noted by any of the investigators and the home appeared to be very quiet. Investigators were able to find explanations for some reported incidences.

The reports of footsteps in the attic may be due to bats or other small animals getting in. The Investigators found that any sound from the attic carries to the first floor. As a test, an Investigator dropped a 4 inch flashlight to the floor from one inch above the floor. Upon doing this, the Investigators on the first floor reported the sound of rolling thunder. There is no insulation under the floor, which attributes to the sound carrying throughout the home. The lack of insulation was confirmed by the Owner of the home.

The report of the feeling of being watched on the steps may be attributed to the presence of an electro-magnetic field just above the landing. The levels detected were slightly elevated at approximately 3 feet from the floor and consistently increased as the meter was moved toward the ceiling. The levels receded at the third step up.

The reports of the child seeing a lady and being slapped by her in his bed remain unexplained. Upon speaking to the client, she feels this lady in white may have been her Grandmother. Due to the age of the child, we cannot gather additional information to determine if the child is sensitive, was simply dreaming, or was visited by the Grandmother.

The reports of the dog acting strangely could not be explained. He was quiet during the investigation. However, the Investigators did notice the dog acting strangely when they arrived. The dog put his tail between his legs and backed away. This is a common reaction when a dog is mistreated. The owner of the dog reported just receiving him and this may be a residual reaction from the dog's past home. The Investigators feel that the dog simply needs proper care and attention and the odd behaviors should subside.

Based solely on this one night investigation, the Investigators do not feel that there is paranormal activity in the home. Based on the client's reports, THE PPA does not feel anything negative is occurring at this location. Upon speaking with the Client, THE PPA feels that her belief that she may have had a visit from a family member who has passed whom she was very close to could be accurate. The client has reported that the activity has ceased at this time. Should the activity resume, THE PPA recommends the client keep a log of any occurrences in order to identify most active times and possible causes and contact THE PPA should she need further assistance.
