Reported Activity:
The clients have reported hearing voices, being pushed, having a door open and close by itself and seeing a black mass along with strange feelings in the basement.

AUDIO and EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon):

VR1 (Digital Voice Recorder: Stationary on wall ledge between living room and dining room) At 10:12PM, this device recorded an audio anomaly, possibly an evp. It is difficult to understand what is being said, however, investigator contamination was ruled out and no source for the sound could be found. The sound appears six seconds into the clip immediately after Lauren says, "You don't have to go far".

EMF (Electro Magnetic Field):
Standard baseline readings were taken throughout the building with expected spikes near electrical appliances. No anomalous readings were recorded. Elevated readings were recorded throughout the living room on the first floor of the home and highly elevated readings were measured in the basement area. These elevated fields are believed to be generated by the electric wiring running along the ceiling area of the basement, the main power line grounded to the city water line coming into the home and the highest levels from an air purifier in the basement that was fund to emit emf readings near 2000 mg. These high readings in the living room and basement can cause distorted perceptions and feelings by people hyper-sensitive to those fields and would be a contributing factor to the “creepy” feelings reported in the basement.

Conclusion:
During the investigation on this particular date, investigators were able to measure elevated emf levels in the living room area of the first floor and extremely high emf levels in the basement. These levels were traced to various electrical wiring and an air purifier located in the basement. High levels of emfs are associated with uneasy feelings, chills, the feeling of being watched, hallucinations and other physical or psychological effects for those people who are hyper-sensitive to these fields. In the case of the activity reported at this location, these high fields can be causing the creepy feelings reported in the basement and seeing quick shadow like objects moving, however, these fields do not account for other activity such as items being moved from one place to another or doors opening and closing by themselves. Additionally, a persistent cold spot midway up the staircase is believed to be naturally caused by a poorly insulated ceiling and openings in the ceiling tiles. Nothing paranormal is believed to be associated with the cold spot.

Investigators reported having no experiences during the investigation other than some fluctuations in the basement emf levels, but it is believed that as the heating system cycles, occasionally turning on and off, power levels through the electrical systems cause this fluctuation. Although some natural causes may have been found for some reported experiences at this location, due to the lack of hard evidence for or against a haunting, it can not be determined at this time whether paranormal activity is occurring based solely on this investigation and further assessment is required. At the request of the clients, a psychic medium will be brought in to provide psychic impressions of the location in an attempt to get a broader perspective of the activity and to provide assistance in reducing the activity.
